We at curiouslizard have been hard at work in this time of covid, going on wild and interesting adventures and taking beautiful photographs for you our dear readers.
We went on an around the USA road trip by electric vehicle in the fall and winter months that racked up 10,000 miles. The trip was partially inspired by John Steinbeck’s grand “Travels with Charlie” and we went through many of the same places. It was a seat of the pants adventure that took us through 38 states and into Canada.
The image of the bison in the snow was taken on the last day Yellowstone National Park was open in 2019 and covid hadn’t yet hit. I had this image in my head when we decided to stay a few days in Yellowstone. The bison were in herds in the distance or laying in the snow but I wanted something special and on our last day in the park while leaving we happened upon this fellow.
We also spent several weeks in Southern Africa in May of 2021, slipping in during a brief lull in covid lock downs that allowed us to visit South Africa and go on extended safaris in Botswana and Zimbabwe. Christy posted some of her images from those safaris as well as a spectacular double rainbow over Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Now in the winter of 2021 we are on another road tripping electric vehicle adventure that is taking us deep into Yellowstone once again, snow covered mountains and more distant points throughout the USA.
Was nice meeting you in Hilton Head.
Thanks! It was great meeting you as well!!
